The 2025 Bluegrass Yarn and Fiber Crawl has officially wrapped up, and we are still riding the wave of inspiration, connection, and creativity it sparked across Kentucky. Over the course of ten days, fiber lovers hit the road to explore local yarn shops, fiber farms, and artisan studios across the region. What they found was far more than just beautiful yarn they discovered a warm, welcoming community, new friendships, and the stories behind every skein.
Many participants shared how meaningful it was to connect with shop owners, farmers, and fellow fiber enthusiasts along the way. Whether learning about how wool is spun and dyed, discovering new types of yarn for upcoming projects, or simply exchanging stories with passionate local makers, the Crawl offered countless moments of education and inspiration. Some even got to witness unforgettable events—like the birth of a baby alpaca! These moments are exactly why the Crawl exists—to build bridges between makers, growers, and shop owners, and to celebrate the fiber-rich heritage of our state.
What stood out most was the sense of belonging, curiosity, and joy that filled every stop on the trail. Whether you joined us for your first Crawl or have been riding along with us for years, we thank you for being part of this vibrant and growing tradition.
Save the Date!
We’re already looking forward to next year. Mark your calendars for the 2026 Bluegrass Yarn and Fiber Crawl: July 24 – August 2, 2026. You won’t want to miss it!

Until then, keep supporting your local yarn shops and fiber producers and keep creating!
