Workshops are at the heart of the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival — a place where creativity meets community and where fiber enthusiasts of all levels come together to learn, share, and grow. The 2025 Festival was no exception, offering an inspiring lineup of classes that celebrated the skill, artistry, and joy of working with natural fibers.
This year, attendees had the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics — from beginner-friendly spinning and knitting and crochet classes to in-depth weaving, dyeing, broom making and felting workshops. Our talented instructors shared their expertise and passion, helping participants gain new confidence and skills to take home to their own creative studios and farms.
Many students commented on how meaningful it was to learn directly from regional fiber artists and shepherds, and to work hands-on with materials sourced right here in Kentucky. These workshops are more than just classes — they’re a vital part of how we connect people to the fiber community and keep traditional skills thriving.
