Masterson Station Park was overflowing with wool, laughter, full shopping bags, and the unmistakable energy that only festival weekend can bring!
The 16th Annual Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival was a tremendous success.
Despite a little Kentucky weather keeping us on our toes — with rain showers moving through on Saturday and summer heat arriving on Sunday — thousands of fiber enthusiasts, shepherds, artisans, families, and friends gathered for an unforgettable weekend celebrating all things sheep, wool, and fiber arts.
This year’s festival saw terrific attendance numbers throughout the weekend, with packed vendor aisles, full workshops, enthusiastic crowds at demonstrations, and a wonderful sense of community from start to finish. Time and again, vendors shared reports of strong sales, busy booths, and meaningful connections with both longtime customers and reunions with other vendors.
More than 70 fiber and livestock vendors filled the grounds with beautiful yarns, hand-dyed fibers, fleeces, tools, apparel, handmade goods, and locally raised products. From knitting and crochet to spinning, weaving, felting, and sheep husbandry, the festival offered something for every level of fiber enthusiast.
One of the most encouraging parts of the weekend was seeing how resilient and supportive this community continues to be. Even as Saturday’s rain briefly rolled through, patrons simply ducked into vendor tents and kept shopping and exploring. By Sunday, the sunshine and heat may have arrived, but so did steady crowds and smiling faces eager to enjoy the final day of the festival.
The livestock exhibits, workshops, and in booth demonstrations remained highlights throughout the weekend, giving attendees the opportunity to learn new skills, connect with experienced makers, and celebrate the craftsmanship that keeps the fiber arts thriving.
Events like the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival only happen because of the incredible support behind the scenes. We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, instructors, vendors, sponsors, demonstrators, exhibitors, committee members, and every single person who attended and supported the festival this year.
Thank you for making the 16th Annual Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival such a tremendous success. We are already looking forward to next year!
