Tips for Consignors

All consignors will be provided the On-Farm Screening Sheet prior to the on-farm inspection. Be sure to have all the information required on the form ready prior to the screening.

Pictures and videos of the lots are critical! Make sure animals are in a contained area and there is an appropriate area available to take pictures and video (good lighting, clean, etc.). Check the pictures and videos of the animals that are taken at your on farm screening to make sure they reflect the quality of the animals.

Before the lots are posted online, you will receive a draft of the post. Be sure to read the information to make sure it is accurate. You will also be notified when your lots are be made live at https://www.32auctions.com/KSGDOreplacementsale2017.com and the KSGDO websites. Make sure the online description of the lots are correct.

Consignor bios will be very helpful in promoting the lots. If you have a farm logo or business card, be sure to send that to Kelley Yates, kyates@kysheepandgoat.org, after your on-farm screening.

Each consignor will be given social media promotion through the KSGDO Facebook page. Be sure to comment and share the Facebook posts on your own pages so that it gets more promotion.

Each lot will be highlighted at the 2017 Annual Producer Conference on October 7, 2017. Be sure to attend the conference so attendees can ask you questions about the animals and get to know you. Buyers will pay more for animals raised by people they know and trust!
