A Natural Fiber, Local Food Event

 Dear Sheep and Fiber Enthusiast,

 We’d like to invite you to join the 2^nd annual Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival, to be

held on May 21 - 22, 2011 in conjunction with the Bluegrass Classic Stockdog Trial.

 We have proven with the number of knitters and fiber crafters at an all-time high, this is a

premier local market for vendors, participants and buyers!

 In addition we are offering an extensive class list for fleeces, handspun yarn, garments

and photography (sheep or fiber related only). This is a great way to feature your farm’s

fleeces and your own handspun or hand crafted products.

 If you are interested in joining as a vendor, please complete the application and

return it to Sharon Koontz, Executive Assistant, Kentucky Sheep and Goat Development

Office, P O Box 4709, Frankfort, KY 40604. 

If you are interested in participating in a less demanding role, we would love to have you

join us at any time over the weekend. Bring a chair and your spinning, knitting, weaving,

rug hooking, needle felting… 

Also, we can always use more demonstrations and some good volunteers. We are also

looking for donations of raffle items to help encourage vendor, volunteer and consumer

participation.

This is truly a wonderful opportunity, but needs to be a cooperative effort between local

craft people, shepherds, fiber guilds and suppliers.
